Example Of Core Physical Skills In Dance
Flexibility
This movement requires flexibility in your hips and thighs in order to appear fluid, smooth and to be sustained for a long period of time.
Balance
This movement requires a great deal of balance as I am having to hold all of my body weight on a smaller surface area while being in motion. This is difficult to replicate accurately and therefore requires a higher level of skill.
Stamina
These movements require stamina as they are all found in a single dance break, these have to be completed in very quick succession with a high level of accuracy to look clean and professional.
Posture
Strength
The slow but controlled nature of this movement requires you to have a level of core strength in order for the movement to look clean and composed.
Coordination
This movement requires a high level of coordination as I have to alternate my arms with each leg and keep each limb in time with the music.
